After School Science Clubs

Catch up with missed science lessons! Our online after school club include the science kit delivered to your door, so we can make science really fun and interactive for your budding scientist!

The After School Science Club is 60 mins once a week for 5 weeks from 4-5pm. Clubs start after half term on Monday 2nd November for years 4 & 5, and Tuesday 3rd November for years 3 & 4.

Only £45 for the 5 week club which includes the science kit delivered to your door (UK only).

The club consists of 5 fully interactive, fun science sessions presenting different topics and content from the national curriculum that would be tricky to cover at home during lockdown. Each session has awesome hands-on science activities, experiments & demonstrations and includes most of the the kit.

Science 1-2-1 classes

See how much fun science can be with your own 1-2-1 live science classes in the comfort and safety of your home on a day/time to suit you (subject to availability).

You book classes in bundles of 3 to enable consistency between lessons and this helps you get the most out of your Lab Kit (included in the price). The practical science sessions are 1 hour long and cover different topics.

Price is per family, NOT per child, and INCLUDES our latest Lab Kit (UK address only) full of laboratory goodies that your budding scientist will need in the science classes, delivered to your door.

Book 3 classes + Lab Kit + extension ideas for £55

These classes are perfect for family groups and are aimed at children aged 5-10. They’ll work through fun activities live with us (such as pH testing, bubbly reactions, gliders, fizzy fruit & loads more), gain an understanding of the science behind the experiments with extension ideas so they can use the kit again long after the science class has finished.

If you need additional kits for siblings you can purchase them by clicking here (£7 each).

There are extra, inexpensive ingredients* that you will need to get hold of for these classes and we’ll send you the list by email at least a week before the class. A printer is also required for classes 3 & 6 to print off templates.

*Examples of things you’ll need include: oil, baking soda, vinegar, food colourings, plate, £1 electric toothbrush, scrap card, sellotape, permanent marker, felt tips, scissors, balloons, elastic bands….

GCSE tuition for 14-16 year olds/GCSE

Ruth, who runs Sciencedipity, is a biology teacher as well as a registered Biomedical Scientist. She currently teaches biology on a Plymouth University Bioscience degree, and offers private tuition at her home, as she does a lot of practical work with her students (once the pandemic is over!), and online. Ruth has taught iGCSE , Edexcel, and is particularly familiar with the AQA syllabus.

If you feel you need a boost in any of the sciences at KS3 level, perhaps a few hours or a weekly session, please get in touch. Price is £22 per hour.

If you have any gaps in your GCSE biology, perhaps a few hours are needed or you’d like a weekly session, please get in touch. Price is £25 per hour.
