Celebrate your child’s birthday with our first class science parties packed with hands-on exciting experiments for everyone! Guests don’t just sit and watch a science show, we know that children particularly love getting involved and therefore we ensure all the guests do the experiments, be the scientists, making potions, slime, magic bracelets, bath bombs, for example, depending on the theme you choose.
Build the perfect party that suits you
First, pick one of our science themes, then decide how long you’d like the science entertainment to be – 60, 75 or 90 mins – whatever works best for you. Decide how many children you’re inviting – we now offer a reduced rate for small gatherings -yay! Finally, let us know if you’d like us to sort out the sweets & extra party favours too!
Free party bags
All our science parties include goodies for the guests to take home, these are the things the children make during the party as a result of their experimenting.
Invitations
You get a fantastic and particularly helpful free tool to keep track of who is definitely coming and who hasn’t got back to you yet. If you’d prefer paper invitations, we can send you a pdf to print off instead.
We are mobile & come to you
You can have your party at your home (kitchen, lounge, patio – wherever!), or in your garden, a community hall or other venue. Covering the South West UK – Devon, Cornwall, Dorset & Somerset, we are happy to travel.

Birthday parties make the best memories and the birthday child has the very important job of helping us in our science show.
Furthermore, all guests take science momentoes home with them, which means that the happy feelings continue long after we’ve left. Many of our reviews mention that the children talked about their science party long after it finished.

The Dry Ice Party incurs an additional £50 minimum charge.

Travel Costs?
Mileage is charged depending on your location from our head office in Barnstaple. Local science parties don not incur a mileage charge, whereas science parties that are up to 90 minutes drive away, then the charge is 50ppm. For parties more than an hour and a half drive away, it’s 70ppm.

Mini Scientists Party *new*
4-5yo
Our new Mini Scientists party is packed with experiments perfect for toddlers. First, we gather for the science show, then we make lava lamps, have fun with bubbles & make rainbows with sweets. Kids go home with their lava lamps and own-made bubble wands. No slime here.
Slime Science Party
8-12yo
Our slime experts will set slime-obsessed kids wild, teaching them how to make all sorts of sticky silliness: floam, fluffy, unicorn, galaxy, glittery, jelly, and our favourite, butter-slime. Plenty of colours, glitters and scents to choose from! Everyone takes home the slimes they make.
Sparkle Science Party
7-10yo
We start with science demo’s, then children make lots of pretty, colourful and sparkly concoctions – glittery lava lamps, an edible rainbow diffusion experiment, colour changing bead bracelets & scented bath bombs. They take all of these home! This party has no slime.
Magical Potions Science Party
7-10yo
Kids are welcomed to the world of wizardry! After magical demo’s, guests make mystical wands & bubbling potions which become science souvenirs for their party bags. The guests help the birthday child conjure up a big potion in a cauldron….watch out! We finish with the Exploding Elixir.
Dry Ice Party Party *new*
7-11yo
Dry ice science show and interactive demo’s. We feel the sublime smoke, hold cute Boo Bubbles, pop bubble snakes. Youngsters create magical mini dry ice smoke rings, and finish with bubbling lava lamps to keep.

Always a winner – a recyclable candy stripe paper bag filled with a mixture of about 10 sweeties, such as UFOs, Fruit Salad, Jelly Beans, Love Hearts, Lollypop.
Science Experiment Party Favour Toy for each guest – add £3 per child
Unique, one of a kind, home-made boxed science experiment kit as a party favour for each child. These are sustainable too (no plastic tat!) and Devon-made. Contains all they need for science fun at home with full instructions. Our Etsy best seller!
Science DIY Kit Gift for birthday child – add £10

Absolutely fantastic! All the children were engaged and enthusiastic about the experiments. Ruth did an amazing job of keeping all the children interested. It was quite a large group of 30 children, but they were all included and left with huge smiles on their faces. Even the adults were enthralled with the experiments and fun that was being had.

FAQs
We can work with any sized space, adapting to fit your venue, so this could be tables set up in your lounge, maybe around the kitchen table, or perhaps in a big community hall.
no, mess is unlikely, as a result of leading hands-on science for many years! Occasionally, something may get knocked over, but if this happens we are quick to wipe up. If your party is at home and you have carpets, you can put a tarpaulin down (we have a large tarpaulin that we can bring, if you don’t have one).
We are mobile and come to you, therefore we don’t have a venue you can use. However, we can recommend venues as we have been to many different halls and places to run parties, so if you are having trouble finding something, do ask us as we may know somewhere close to you that’ll work.
First, we gather children round for our show that the birthday child can help with, then everyone gets hands-on with the science through guided experiments and activities, depending on the theme you chose. You can read more about what to expect here.
